Janet Alvis started in dentistry over 33 years ago as a Registered Dental Assistant and has been our Practice Manager since 2004. As a child, Janet was very afraid of going to the dentist. She was able to turn that fear into a passion for dental health and has been able to help patients overcome their dental anxieties and enjoy a better smile! Janet recently earned her distinction as a FAADOM, Fellow of the Academy of Dental Office Managers and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the local San Diego Chapter of Dental Office Managers. Janet loves spending time with her family and enjoys the arts as well. Alpine Dentistry is her home away from home, and she enjoys the wonderful team and patients that we have the privilege of taking care of.
Denise Wedge is a native San Diegan and started as a dental assistant over 25 years ago working for both General and Periodontal specialties. Deciding to further her education in dentistry, she attended West Los Angeles School of Dental Hygiene and graduated Cum Laude in 2002. Denise is quick to make patients feel at ease by building trust and friendships with each patient.
Nikki has always been interested in healthcare and was encouraged to begin a career in dentistry. She graduated from dental hygiene school in Orange County with honors and has been in dentistry for nearly 30 years. As an Alpine native, she has been able to devote over 20 years here at Alpine Dentistry and continues to enjoy the small-town community that she grew up in. Nikki is passionate about educating her patients and helping them achieve better oral health.
Nikki has a son and daughter and loves spending time with them. She enjoys traveling, horseback riding and walking her French bulldog.
Chiola has been in the dentistry field since 1999 after being inspired by her childhood dental hygienist. She worked as a registered dental assistant for five years, loved the field, then attended Wharton County College in Texas and earned her degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined Alpine Dentistry in 2019 and loves how well every staff member works synergistically to provide exceptional patient care.
Her primary focus is educating her patients in such a way that is enthusiastic and positive. She enjoys working with her patients, allowing them to view their dental health goals as a collaborative process.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, attending live events and spending time with friends and family.
